I am currently Associate Professor of the Graduate Program in Business Administration at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Brazil, where I lead the research group Managing Projects and Information Technology- MProTech. I was also PUCRS Coordinator in the Increasing International STI Cooperation between Brazil and the European Union - INCOBRA project.
Prior to my current academic position, I obtained my Master degree in Computer Science at PUCRS and my undergraduate degree in Informatics at UNISINOS. After this, I have acquired some international experience. In 2003, I spent two months researching at the Laboratorio de Bases de Datos (LBD) at Universidade da Coruña in Galicia.
From 2004 to 2013, I lived in Portugal where I obtained my PhD degree (approved with distinction and praise) in Informatics at University of Lisbon (DI-FCUL) in 2009. In April 2012, I gave a workshop at Universitat de Barcelona. The content of this workshop has more than 900 views in Slideshare.
In June 2013, I attended the one-week intensive summer program titled "Advanced Topics of Managing Technology-Driven Projects" at Bentley University, in Massachusetts, USA. In June 2014, I attended the tutorial titled "Doing (and Succeeding with) Grounded Theory in Information Systems Research" at Tel Aviv University, in Israel. In September 2018, I attended the final consortium meeting of the INCOBRA project at FFG - Austrian Research Promotion Agency in Vienna, Austria.
Finally, I also have experience with international students in mobility programs at PUCRS. My courses have been attended by American, German, Swedish and Korean students, among others.
